SLAPS Passive Radiator Design Achieves 99dB at 18Hz
Earthquake’s patented symmetrically loaded passive radiator allows the user to enjoy the benefits of deep bass and the full impact of sound effects without having to put up with a giant eyesore in the room. SLAPS lets Earthquake subwoofers go very low without having to increase enclosure volume. The patented SLAPS design eliminates the traditional need for a spider and basket, and allows the system to be tuned to an infrasonic frequency, producing the performance of a sealed enclosure design, but with a much smaller footprint. The MKV subwoofer series can produce a clean 99dB at 18Hz, for incredibly satisfying, pulse-pounding bass that you can feel as well as hear.
SLAPS can be used in car as well as in home-audio applications. Wherever subwoofers must be tuned to a low frequency without increasing the enclosure volume, and without the need to deal with the traditional shortcomings of port tuning such as port noise, port length, and availability.
Earthquake’s Overdrive
Overdrive is a patented feature that allows the Supernova amplifier to generate maximum output with virtually any level of input audio signal.
Available in Piano Black or Cherry to suit your style and surround system
Optical Distortion Limiting Circuitry (ODL)
ODL was created to eliminate audio amplifier input stage clipping without distorting the audio signal.
A High Degree of Control
The Supernova features a 600-watt RMS built-in Class “D” amplifier, with a number of fine control features to help you get the most out of your home theater sound. In addition to volume Control and remote control detection, the Supernova offers low level RCA inputs and outputs, high level inputs and outputs, and ON/OFF switch with an auto-ON option, a phase flip switch, and a 24dB variable crossover
